The Venue

Built during the reign of King Henry V in the mid 15th Century, Herstmonceux Castle combines the history of medieval England and the romance of Renaissance Europe. Today, following complete renovations, Herstmonceux has opened its doors to a new era of learning and enlightenment.

Set amid rolling parklands and superb formal gardens, the Castle is the embodiment of English culture and history and the perfect location for a medieval festival.

Along with a beautiful surrounding lake, the walled gardens to the Castle rear are magnificently presented and serve as a haven of peace and tranquillity, as indeed does the Castle courtyard. Currently the gardens are open to the public during the Festival but would provide an ideal area for corporate entertaining. The Castle itself is closed to the public, but for corporate sponsors there is an excellent ballroom/dining hall, perfect for a black tie or period ball or function.

With Conference and Hospitality facilities within the Castle, there are a number of ways of combining sponsorship of the Festival with major corporate functions and activities.

The magnificence of the Castle and its surroundings enhances the Festival experience and authenticity, but there are also many practical and unique advantages that the facilities have to offer a corporate sponsor over and above any other sponsorship opportunity.
