Food Sales inside the Buxom Wench Tavern Marquee.You are invited to apply for a food Concession for England's Medieval Festival at Herstmonceux Castle on 29th, 30th & 31st August, 2009.Join us to celebrate the 17th year of England's Medieval Festival. Sited in the prime location in front of Herstmonceux castle is a 40 x 100 foot traditional white centre pole marquee. In this we have the Buxom Wench Tavern. Half of this space or 50 running feet along the back wall is allocated to the food sales and the other 50 running feet is allocated to the bar sales. This point of sale will have tremendous sales opportunity to sell hot and cold food to the public during open hours on each of the Festival days and will also have exclusive rights to cater for all participants who use the facilities after hours on the four nights of the long weekend. To be chosen for this concession the successful company must be able to prove to us that they can deliver and maintain throughout the weekend a high level of costuming, decoration of point of sale and variety and quality of food. The Festival will provide for the concession price: Water hook up, three phase electrical power, near by toilets with sinks, wheel bins for waste, the marquee, the lighting, chairs and tables. The successful concessionaire will. 1. Have the concessions open, fully staffed and ready for business to the public between 10.00 am and 6.00 PM on each Festival day, RAIN OR SHINE with no exceptions. Additionally they will be open Aug 28th 6pm- 11pm, 29th 7pm- 11.30pm, 30th 7 pm - 11.30 pm. and Aug. 31st 7pm - 10pm for the festival participants. 2. The marquee food concession is £1950.00. VAT is not charged for this concession. A 50% non refundable deposit per concession must be paid at the time of booking, along with a post dated cheque dated for April 1st 2009 for the balance due. Payment can also be made by credit card. 3. Decorate their point of sale area in a medieval theme. 4. Ensure that all servers are dressed in medieval costume. 5. Be responsible to ensure there serving and eating area is clean and tidy at all times. 6. Submit their planned menu and prices for pre-approval at the time of booking. Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis. There is B & B available in the Castle’s residence building for as little as £20, subject to availability at the time of booking.
